Duties:

• Database design
• Project Management - manage technical projects in database group including database design, creation and maintenance. Provide research on new technology and be an innovator for the group.
• Performance Tuning - monitoring the server and making configuration changes.
• Capacity Planning - includes backup and recovery procedures
• Lead - lead research, planning and implementations of new database installs, upgrades and patches.
• 24/7 production support

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related engineering discipline or equivalent experience required
• 7+ years of IT experience including database design and implementation in a large scale Terabyte environment
• Advanced knowledge of database concepts, performance tuning and monitoring
• Experience with high availability, standby, backup and recovery, re-indexing, database management and partitioning
• Excellent communication skills
