Enterprise ,Net Architect

Wintellect, a Microsoft Gold Consulting and Training Partner, is seeking a senior level technical resource that will be able to work in the Dayton, OH area until February-March 2010.  One of our large clients is seeking an Enterprise .NET Architect to assist them with a major project.

Our client is seeking support from Wintellect, specifically around application-level architecture, design, and development.  This is seen as strategic support to help facilitate and coordinate engineering efforts around ASP.NET (and SharePoint to the extent it will be utilized) over the course of nine or ten months.  The bulk of the work will be done out of a large development center complex in Dayton Ohio.  Support will be provided for some or all of the following:

  • Performance
  • Scalability
  • Configuration management
  • Standardization of Web parts model
  • Interaction between SharePoint and ASP.NET
  • Localization

In addition, Client is seeking increased debugging support in the February-March timeframe prior to release of Beta in April.

 

Services and Deliverables

Wintellect will provide the following services outlined below:

1.      Application Engineering Assistance and Mentoring.  Client has started work and made good progress with the architecture and design of their next generation application.  They have requested that Wintellect provide application-level architecture, design, and development assistance for the some of the remaining tasks.  During this process Wintellect will also mentor Client resources on appropriate facets of .NET architecture, design and development.  The following areas may be in scope for this assistance:

·   ASP.NET Web part integration, communication, and interoperability

·   ASP.NET Web part reusability and enterprise deployment/installation strategy

·   ASP.NET Web part customization design approach

·   SharePoint integration utilizing SharePoint out-of-box Web services

·   Code-base evaluation and performance/scalability optimization

·   Localization strategy, specifically targeting East Asian languages Chinese, Japanese, and Korean

·   Code source and artifact management

·   Software distribution/installation/deployment

·   Application-level configuration support

·   Assembly versioning management

·   Capacity, availability, and performance management/testing

·   High-level interoperability with other systems

·   General tasks identified by the client not covered in other areas

There may be some light documentation created during this assistance to describe key processes, designs, and concepts.  Client will provide guidance and prioritization for Wintellect assigned tasks.
