What you need:
- 3 to 5 years experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a related Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts, or Social Sciences discipline.
- 5-7 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified can substitute for the degree.
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
- Ability to identify and secure alternative funding/revenue sources.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, methods, and techniques in area of specialty.
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
- Knowledge of admissions standards.
- Knowledge of transfer credit articulation agreements.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques.
- Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community.
- Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues.
- Knowledge of targeted recruitment principles, procedures, and resources.
- Knowledge of faculty and/or staff hiring procedures.
- Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.
- Ability to plan, develop, and implement marketing strategies and programs.
- Knowledge of computerized student information systems.
- Employee development and performance management skills.
- Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart information to a range of clientele and/or media sources.
What you will be doing:
- Directs the daily operations of the Admissions Office.
- Assists in policy planning and development on all admissions-related matters. - Plans and develops strategies for admission of undergraduate students.
