Nurse Practitioner - Approved to Prescribe - Family Practice

Due to continued growth of our practice, we are seeking to add an experienced NP that can function within both Family practices and urgent care settings.

What you will be doing in this role:
* Obtain histories and performs a complete or problem focused physical examination of patients.
* Orders and/or performs, evaluates, interprets and integrates findings of diagnostic tests and procedures to formulate a health management plan.
* Evaluates and makes recommendations for the patient health management plan with full consideration of patient safety needs.
* Maintains patient's medical records according to established standards
* Reviews records with supervisory physician on a routine basis.
* Discusses patient care needs with physician
* Prescribes medication as permitted by the N.C. Board of Nursing.

What you need for this position:
* MSN - Masters of Science in Nursing
* Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (ANP or FNP)
* Active Approval to Practice in the state of North Carolina including approval to prescribe
* National certification - AANP (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners) or ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center)
* Experience within either a Family Practice or Urgent Care Setting
