We have Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP ) and Physician Assistant ( PA-C/RPA ) positions in the Bangor and Hermon, ME areas with a dynamic and growing healthcare provider.

What you'll be doing:
In summary, this position is responsible for, under general supervision of medical staff or clinical or nursing administrator, assessing diagnoses and treating episodic illnesses, managing chronic health problems of adult and pediatric patients, and providing primary patient care, in a community based or group medical practice setting.

Other general duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Assesses patient illness by obtaining complete medical history ensuring that findings are properly recorded in patient's medical record. Performs physical examinations, orders laboratory tests and analyzes results.
* Diagnoses illness or health needs based on analysis and evaluation of clinical data collected.
* May concentrate in such medical specialties as pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, family practice, etc.
* Provides patient care and treatment under physician supervision in accordance with established protocols.
* Provides consultation to nurses who triage patient telephone calls and walk-ins. Refers patients for specialty services after consultation with physician.
* Working with other staff, plans, develops and evaluates new patient care and community health programs and policies. Participates in health center quality assurance activities.
* Maintains and enhances professional knowledge of theory and practice by attending conferences, educational programs and seminars.
* May evaluate employee job performance and make recommendations for transfers, promotions, salary increases, and other human resource actions.

What you need for this position:
* Minimum of two years of general family medicine experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a community health/clinic environment
* Master's degree from an accredited program
* Current license from the Maine State Board of Registration
* Successful completion of an accredited certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
* CPR Certification
