We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Structural Project Engineer to join a leading Flood Protection Engineering Firm located in New Orleans, LA.

We are searching for a Project Structural Engineer with flood control or navigation structures experience along with heavy civil work type structures.

Knowledge of Flood Protection, Flood Walks, Flood Gates, Pumping Stations is a big plus.

Responsibilities include: establishing and directing the detailed structural engineering analysis and design process.

Requirements/Preferences:

* P.E. license.
* Graduate degree a strong preference.
* Familiar with USACE standards.
* Strong technical background.
* Strong hands-on experience in finite element analysis and FEM programs.
* Intimately familiar with ACI, AISC, and USACE design standards.
* 10 years of experience with heavy structural design and analysis of flood control, navigation structures, and heavy civil works projects.
* 5 years of experience in preparing plans and specifications.
* 5 years of experience in construction management (shop drawings review, field inspections, contractor interface)
