What you need:

- 5-7 years medical billing and coding supervisory experience, preferably in a diverse field of specialties and ancillary services.
- Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration preferred.
- AHIMA certification preferred.
- Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
- Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Employee development and performance management skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Knowledge of management principles and practices.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.

What you will be doing:

1. Assist with identification and implementation of Practice Management/Billing system.
2. Assist with marketing the service to potential clients.
3. Manage revenue cycle for clients including the directing and monitoring of coding and the reimbursement activities.
4. Stay current with changes in reimbursement regulations related to billing and coding and provides ongoing training and oversight to staff.
5. Review reimbursement from third-party payors to ensure payment through proper use of codes.
6. Oversee the resolution of patient charge problems.
7. Oversee the supervision/hiring of personnel, including students, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employee to achieve peak productivity and performance.
8. Analyze patient reimbursement data for clients and prepares monthly reconciliation reports.
9. Participate in the management of annual operating budgets; coordinates and produces special reports to include financial/budget reports, funding and/or operating proposals, and various cost/productivity analyses.
10. Develop and maintains current operational procedures manuals for internal operations; evaluates unit operations and develops systems to monitor progress and improve procedures.
11. Participate in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
12. Represent the organization at various community and/or business meetings; promote existing and new programs and/or policies.
