We are currently looking for an experienced Software Development Team Lead to lead a small group of software engineers in the design and development of a new integrated tax system for state agencies. The new system is a large-scale, n-tier, Web based solution built on the .NET platform. Leveraging your strong .NET development experience, you will help drive this project through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle. Tasks range from collaborating on system architecture design to writing code to providing guidance to junior engineers. This is a great opportunity to lead a small team in the development of applications and reusable components that utilize cutting edge technologies in a heterogeneous, SOA environment.

This position is based out of our South Charlotte, NC development facility.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
  • Immediate authorization to work in the US
  • 6 + years relevant software design and development experience using .NET, ASP, or C# ; large-scale system work preferred
  • Must have experience leading development teams of 3-4 (or more) in a similar technical environment
  • Experience in developing a custom Back End (ie Intranet) Web enterprise system
  • Experience with standard development techniques such as RUP and/or agile programming techniques
  • Ability to translate use cases using standard modeling techniques into working code

  • Experience working with clients to develop and document system requirements
  • Experience leading client design sessions
  • Experience resolving design and development issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience using Borland Caliber RM, Together, and StarTeam
  • Experience with test-driven development

Experience with any Business Rules Engine

Top 3-5 must have skills:
